Ille et Vilaine, Brittany

Flag of France
Dinard lies at the mouth of the river Rance.
Dinard
The smart resort of Dinard is frequented by the international set, particularly British and Americans. There is a casino, princely villas and splendid parks and gardens. Dinard is on a headland, surrounded by magnificent beaches and more superb beaches may be found slightly to the west at St.Enogat, St.Jacut and St.Cast-le-Guildo.

St.Bartholomew's British-American Church near the Hôtel Roche Corneille is the only Anglican church in Brittany or Lower Normandy [Services each Sunday at 11am].

Dinard is also adjacent to the famous Rance power station that exploits the huge tidal variation of the area. The road across the barrage leads to the walled city of St.Malo, a major tourist attraction, as well as an important ferry port.
